Angels and Airwaves Release Video for “The Wolfpack”

Angels & Airwaves have finally released the video for “The Wolfpack,” directed by frequent DeLonge collaborator Mark Eaton (you might recall his name from the 2008 documentary “Start the Machine”).  The clip incorporates recognizable imagery from the forthcoming Angels & Airwaves multimedia project Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker (including the animated short film, which premieres this Friday during the Toronto International Short Film Festival).  “The Wolfpack,” taken from the musical facet of the project (due December 9th), showcases a successful marrying of the “throwing paint on canvas” ambitions of DeLonge and the virtuosic musical abilities of Ilan Rubin.

Picture 1In a new interview with Rock Sound, DeLonge discussed the uphill battle associated with such an ambitious spirit.  “Artistically, it’s the most challenging,” said DeLonge.  “This has never been done in the history of rock ‘n’ roll.  Pink Floyd did this amazing movie and had twenty million dollars to do that, [and] bands have done a comic book [before], but we’re the first to do an actual narrative.”  Enjoy a small slice of that narrative below.
