Sometimes the simplest tweak to a concept turns the obvious into art.
With a simple tilt of the camera, viral video artist Karen Cheng transforms the steep streets of San Francisco into a playground of optical illusions.
The new piece, aptly titled ‘Tilting the Streets of San Francisco‘ sends Karen and friends running, standing, and posing along the streets against a backdrop of non-participants who don’t realize the unnoticed shift in camera angle has made their movements into a dance worthy of an M.C. Escher painting.
Karen’s previous video art like “The Donut Selfie Video” have garnered serious attention as mass media artifacts that garner cross-generational interest in Youtube based performance art.
