“Clinton: The Musical” is coming soon to theaters in the United States. Already well-received in the UK, the cheeky chronicle of

the 42nd President of the United States will poke fun at Bill Clinton in his many hats as politician, scandalous sensation, and diplomatic world leader. All this and more, in jaunty song and dance! The promotion for the show itself is easily described in its tag line: “President William Jefferson Clinton could seem like two different people: one moment noble, the next naughty.”

The musical will pop into New York at the end of March, where attendees can expect to see all of the classics from the pre-Bush Jr. era, including: Monica Lewinsky, Newt Gingrich, Dick Morris and Kenneth Starr. Not mention a hearty helping of Hilary, to be sure. The timing can absolutely be interpreted as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the (hopeful) second coming of Clinton, 2016.

Can an entire presidency rife with drama, scandal, and a whole lot of healthy economic bolstering (not to mention 90’s hair) truly fit into one musical number? All we can hope for is a waltz with Al Gore and a polar bear in there somewhere. In a show as outrageous as this, anything can happen. Those at any grade along the political spectrum are welcome to indulge.

“Clinton: The Musical” previews on March 25.
